Coast Protection Scheme Exhibition
We will
be holding a public exhibition on the proposed Scarborough Spa
Coast Protection Scheme from Monday 18 March to Thursday 21 March
at Woodend Creative Industries Centre, The Crescent,
Scarborough.
The exhibition will be open from 9am until 5pm each day for
people to drop in and find out more about the proposed scheme,
except on Tuesday 19 March when the exhibition will close
temporarily between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Information about the background and reasons for why a scheme is
needed will be displayed, along with the initial details of the
proposed design of the scheme. Council staff will be available to
answer questions and will be collecting feedback from those that
attend.
Cllr Mike Cockerill, Cabinet Member for Coast and Flood
Protection said:
"The exhibition will be an initial opportunity for people to
learn more about the scheme and comment on the proposals before the
formal consultation and approval process begins. We know there are
many people who are very interested in the how this scheme will
impact on the area around the Spa and so we encourage them to come
along, talk to us and share their thoughts."
After Woodend, the exhibition will move to the Town Hall, St
Nicholas Street, Scarborough from Monday 25 March to Friday 5
April, however it will not be staffed during this time.
